'My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me' (v.16) and 'he who sent me is true' echo the prophet-like-Moses who speaks only what God commands, into whose mouth God puts his words. The sending/speaking-not-from-self language is the diagnostic mark distinguishing the true prophet (Deut 18) from one who speaks presumptuously.
