Allusion3

A deliberate verbal borrowing without a citation formula.

Luke 1:51-56

'To Abraham and his seed forever' takes up the Abrahamic covenant, 'to be God to you and to your offspring after you... an everlasting covenant' (Genesis 17:7; cf. 13:15). The to-Abraham-and-his-seed-forever formula is distinctive covenant language; high volume.

High confidence
Acts 3:22-26

'the covenant which God made with our fathers' (v. 25) recalls the everlasting covenant established with Abraham and his seed; supplies the covenantal frame for the quoted blessing.

Medium confidence
Rom 15:7-13

15:8: Christ became a servant of the circumcision 'to confirm the promises given to the fathers.' The patriarchal promises (Genesis 12:3; 17:4-7; 22:18) — that in Abraham all nations would be blessed — are the substrate; the Gentile-inclusion catena is presented as their fulfillment. Conceptual allusion rather than verbal.

Medium confidence

Echo3

A fainter, low-volume reuse, carried by recurrence or thematic coherence.

Rom 9:1-5

'The covenants' and 'the promises' (vv.4) point to the patriarchal covenant with Abraham and his seed, the seed-theme Paul immediately develops in vv.6-9.

Medium confidence
2 Tim 1:1-2 ?

The 'promise' according to which Paul is sent recalls the patriarchal covenant promise to Abraham and his seed; Pauline 'promise' theology consistently roots in this Genesis covenant. Faint here, marked contested.

Low confidence
Acts 13:26-31 ?

'Children of the stock of Abraham' rests on the covenant with Abraham and his seed; the word of salvation comes first to the covenant heirs. Generic covenant background.
