Allusion4

A deliberate verbal borrowing without a citation formula.

1 Cor 6:1-8

Paul's rhetorical 'the saints will judge the world' draws directly on the eschatological assize of Dan 7:22, where judgment is given to 'the saints of the Most High' who then possess the kingdom. Volume is high (the distinctive pairing of holy ones + judgment + world dominion), and the theme coheres with Paul's argument that believers should not need pagan courts now since they will judge the cosmos. Availability is secure as a canonical apocalyptic source.

High confidence
Rev 20:4–6

'judgment was given to the saints of the most High' (Theod. krima edōken hagiois) — exact source of 'judgment was given to them.' The saints share the divine tribunal; recurrence with Dan 7:27.

High confidence
Luke 22:24-30

Daniel 7:22's 'judgment was given to the saints of the Most High' supplies the specific note of the saints exercising judgment that Luke renders as the Twelve 'judging the twelve tribes of Israel.' The verbal contact ('judging' + 'saints reign') strengthens the allusion.

Medium confidence
Matt 19:27-30

'Judgment was given to the saints of the Most High' grounds the disciples' role of sitting in judgment over the twelve tribes.

Echo1

A fainter, low-volume reuse, carried by recurrence or thematic coherence.

Rev 11:15–19

Judgment 'given to the saints' and the time comes for them to possess the kingdom — undergirds Rev's 'the time for the dead to be judged, and to give... the saints... their reward.' Tightly coherent with the Daniel-7 judgment-and-kingdom sequence.
